Early Music at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music

The Conservatorium has a long history of producing musicians of global distinction on baroque flute, recorder, harpsichord, baroque oboe, baroque violin, viola da gamba and lute.

The Conservatorium’s Early Music Studio (EMS) houses a vast collection of early keyboards – including a Klop chamber organ, strings, wind and brass instruments that are available for student use. Rehearsal facilities are also available for seminars and small recitals and provide a base for community involvement.
